Subscriber Benefits
Unlike solicitors, we do not charge you hourly rates. NACSA subscribers benefit from a host of support and guidance from the advisers, to help you resolve the outstanding issues on your case. Some of the benefits include; One of the most frustrating aspects of dealing with the Child Support Agency is the impression that they are simply not listening to you and your concerns. Sometimes just having the knowledge that someone is listening without judgement can make all the difference. As a subscriber, you will be given details of the telephone help line number where you can discuss the issues of concern with one of our team. Many current subscribers have expressed a feeling of “having the weight taken off them” just by an initial phone call.
Many other websites have public discussion forums which can often become tainted with posts from individuals that pre-judge, criticise and generally “flame” other posters. The NACSA forum is available to subscribers only, and thus provides a safe platform for you to discuss matters relating to their personal lives and CSA problems. The discussion forums will not only allow you to meet other subscribers, but will also show you that your case is not unique – and the anxiety you feel is not uncommon. You will meet and make friends with people in similar situations to yourself, and who will offer the support that is needed at difficult times. We have a specific forum for the partners to NRPs who experience problems that other people find difficult to understand. At the time of writing, Government are working on the new CMEC scheme, due to be introduced in 2011-2013. There will be many stages to work through, and as each area develops, changes may be evident in the current CSA system that we have today. The CSA have also worked with the Operational Improvement Plan which introduced changes to the current procedures. We will keep subscribers informed with developments within CSA as soon as we become aware of any proposals to amend existing regulations.
As a stakeholder group to the Child Support Agency, we have the right to question, and raise official complaint to CSA directorate should we feel that they are not acting appropriately. This position allows us to not only be aware of any proposed changes to legislation and procedure, but also to raise certain impossibly difficult cases to higher authority. NACSA officials also attend meetings with a variety of CSA directorates, Ministers and the Dept. of Works and Pensions Select Committee., which allow us to relay concerns about activities of Agency staff, both for individual cases and against practises as a whole that inflict hardship upon families. |
