How Can We Help You?

The majority of our work involves Non Resident Parents with debt recovery actions in progress, or Parents With Care who struggle to secure regular maintenance from their ex partners. So we do see the difficulties faced by both sides, and show no bias to either parent or the role that they may fulfil.

Our aim is to ensure that the Child Support Act, and its various amendments are applied correctly for the best outcome achievable.

To assist with the process of achieving an appropriate result, we offer a variety of support packages which are affordable, and fixed pricing to aid with budgeting needs.  We do not charge by the hour, as we seek only to raise sufficient revenue to keep the organisation alive.

Our Support Packages:

  • ASSESSMENT CHECKS/DEBT VERIFICATION

We can check CSA calculated assessments as well as looking at potential liabilities may be if based on certain circumstances.  If CSA claim debt is outstanding, we can help to verify if the alleged debt is correct, and/or if there is scope to challenge the levels claimed as owing.   If circumstances permit, we can assist with preparation of defending against any Liability Order application.  Guidance on enforcement measures used by CSA will also be available, together with our Enforcement Guide.

We can now offer support with attendance at such hearings (subject to additional fees and availability).

  • GENERAL CORRESPONDENCES:

We will study any stream of correspondence that you have received from CSA, and provide full explanation of their decisions and whether such decisions have been implemented correctly.

  • APPEAL:

We will provide support from the point of submitting an appeal application to a full study of the appeal bundle.  You will be provided with a full report, in plain English, of the issues to be challenged, aspects that require greater attention to detail, and guidance on the appropriate preparation that you need to undertake for the hearing.  We will also study Tribunal decisions to identify if there is scope for appealing to an Upper Tribunal, and offering appropriate guidance if such opportunities are available.

  • VARIATIONS/DEPARTURES:

We will guide you through the process of application for Variation or Departures and help with completion of the forms.  You will be able to discuss what grounds may be available to you, or if the grounds being used against you can be challenged.  Variations and Departure applications often require the process of Appeal to be successful, so our Appeal Package may compliment  this particular package.

  • FULL CASE AUDIT:

As an NRP, you may have complaints that CSA have only made contact after many years of silence, and now make threats of high level enforcement action. CSA powers of enforcement are extensive and unrelenting – it is therefore critical that all aspects of your case are accurately administered.

As a PWC you may have been battling for many years to secure appropriate maintenance and found little or no action on the case with no real explanation for such apathy.

Our Full Case Audit involves us studying in detail, your Data Protection files which will identify key activities on your case and whether or not CSA have acted within the remit of the legislation.    A full report, in plain English, of your case history will be provided, with clear identification of issues that need to be investigated further and how best to proceed with any such matter.

  • FULL REPRESENTATION:

Our Full Representation Service which allows NACSA to deal with CSA on your behalf, relieving you of the anxiety.  We will steer your case through the complexities of legislation to ensure that the correct decisions are applied and keep you informed of progress.   Our services now incorporiate facilities that allow us to offer support with court hearings, and also have a team of solicitors that we can refer you to should you be faced with Order of Sale application.

  • PERSONAL CONSULTATION:

If you prefer to speak to one of our team face to face we can accommodate.  We now offer a 2 hour personal consultation in which a consultant will inspect your initial paperwork and identify any key areas that merit further investigation.   Consultations take place in our offices in the West Midlands.

  • WEB ACCESS/CMEC UPDATES:

Subscription to NACSA provides full access for one month to the members area of our website, which houses our help sheets, information pages, Survival and Enforcement Guides and our discussion forums.  Our regular Enewsletter is also circulated via email, which provides updates on CSA and CMEC issues.
