DEBT VERIFICATION

The majority of clients approach us because the CSA have written to them threatening court action to enforce a level of debt.

In most cases the debt is disputed, either because there are issues throughout the case that have not been addressed, payments not allocated against the account, or general unawareness of how or why the debt has accrued.

We would always encourage clients to secure a full arrears breakdown from CSA for any debt that you believe is not correct.  You need to request the breakdown verbally initially, but follow the request in writing just in the event that the CSA take you to court.  If possible, try to involve your MP with securing the arrears breakdown.
